I qualified from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 2003 and was one of three students in my year to achieve my degree with Honours. I was awarded the Prize for Best Restorative Dentist in Finals exams.
After qualification I took up a postgraduate General Professional Training position in Newcastle Dental Hospital. Here, I worked alongside leading academics and consultants. This helped me gain valuable skills across the full range of dental specialities. During this time I also achieved the MFDS postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
My next position was as an Oral and Maxillofacial SHO in Newcastle General Hospital. This was a very interesting year where I developed my oral surgery skills as well as dealing with patients who had facial injuries and head and neck pathology in a busy hospital setting.
In 2006 I took up a dental associate position in a Dental Practice in Blyth, Northumberland, where I performed a wide range of general dentistry including cosmetic cases, crown and bridge work and root canal therapy.
Following a one year round the world travelling trip with my wife I returned to Ireland in 2009. Since then I have continued my work in General Dental Practice. I joined the team at Abbeyglebe Dental Practice in early 2013 and I'm enjoying working alongside my colleagues here.
I enjoy performing a wide range of dentistry, from simple fillings to more complex crown and bridge work, root canal therapy and cosmetic and rehabilitation cases. I keep up to date with modern techniques and treatments by attending postgraduate courses and training days. I always strive to do the best that I can for all my patients and always treat them with care and respect.
